Fennec AI (“we”, “us”) provides a meeting recording and AI summarization service. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have.
We use your data to record meetings, produce transcripts and summaries, manage your account and subscription, and operate and secure the service.
To transcribe recordings and generate summaries, Fennec AI sends your meeting audio recordings and the resulting transcripts to OpenAI through the OpenAI API (Whisper for transcription, GPT for summarization). OpenAI processes this content solely to return results to Fennec AI. Under OpenAI’s API data-usage policy, data submitted through the API is not used to train OpenAI’s models. OpenAI may retain API inputs and outputs for up to 30 days for abuse monitoring and service provision, after which they are deleted — except where OpenAI is legally required to retain them longer. We do not share any other personal data (such as your email address) with OpenAI.
We do not sell your data and do not use it for advertising or tracking. We share data only with OpenAI (as above) and with Apple for subscription processing, plus any service providers strictly necessary to host the service.
We retain your account data, recordings, and derived content until you delete them or close your account. You can permanently delete your account and all associated data — recordings, transcripts, and summaries — at any time in the app at Settings → Account → Delete Account. This is an immediate, permanent deletion, not a deactivation.
Data is transmitted over HTTPS. Authentication tokens are stored in the iOS Keychain. Passwords are stored only as bcrypt hashes.
Fennec AI is not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age in your region) and we do not knowingly collect their data.
